A guide in the field

NZTrees helps people identify native New Zealand trees and keep a record of what they find. The wider AUT project connects identification with observation, making a phone useful as both a guide and a record of sightings.

My contribution

I worked on a rebuild of the existing React Native app through AUT’s Centre for Learning and Teaching, adding a new search system and improving performance for iOS and Android.

My role was in the rebuild and programming. The wider app and tree-identification project were created by a team at AUT.
