Where is the stock, and what needs to be picked next?
Finding the stock
I developed an inventory application that brings stock location, barcode scanning and a visual warehouse map into the picking workflow. It also supports checking differences between inventory records, connecting what the system says with the stock being handled.
Turning requests into picks
For replenishment, I connected store requests with warehouse picking through stock-availability views, reports and picking documents. The point is to carry a request through to the information needed to fulfil it.
Following customer orders
I also designed and implemented a customer-order workflow, including its application and training. Order entry, tracking and picking information sit within a consistent process, so the handoff between the store and warehouse is part of the tool rather than a separate task to reconstruct.
